Frequently Asked Questions

Do you service Apple Computers?

No, we do not service Apple Computers at this time.

How can I pay for my service?

You can pay from our PayPal link on the Customer Support page or with cash or certified cheque. Bill must be paid in full before release. (Terms 30 days)

What do I need to bring with me when I drop off my computer?

Just your tower and power cord and if it's a laptop, bring your charger. Also bring any CD's or DVD's that came with your computer.

How long will it take for you to fix my computer?

It really depends on what is wrong with it. It's also dependant on how many computers I have to repair. Generally, the turn around time is one to two days.

Why are your prices so low?

I only do this part-time because I enjoy working on computers, I believe the geeks have been ripping people off for years. If you take your computer to just about any other computer shop you are going to pay almost twice as much.

What if I don't have a working computer to fill out a work order ticket?

If you can't fill out the form we can fill it out for you.

If I want my PC upgraded do I have to buy the parts?

Yes, we do not stock hardware. We can recommend hardware for you to purchase.

Do you custom build computers?

Yes, only if you buy the appropriate hardware and software.

Why is OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) versions of Windows a lot cheaper than full retail versions?

OEM software is tied to the motherboard and is not transferable and the major manufacturers like Dell, Acer, HP, Toshiba, Lenovo all have one thing in common: they don't give you a real Windows installation disc with your purchase. Instead, they bundle what they call a recovery disc; that's if you're lucky otherwise you'll have a recovery partition instead.

Do you fix laptop LCD screens or laptop DC power jacks?

No, we do not perform these services at this time.
